Project.1 was founded by Chase Bugman and Sam Shunney—two individuals from completely different worlds, brought together by a shared obsession with craftsmanship, design, and the stories that connect people to the things they love.

Chase’s journey began in the golf industry, where he spent years caddying at prestigious country clubs, working on PGA TOUR Americas, and freelancing for the PGA TOUR. Behind the scenes or on the fairway, he developed an eye for precision and a deep appreciation for the discipline and detail that define excellence. Yet through it all, his lifelong fascination with cars—manual transmissions, iconic designs, and the art of engineering—remained his truest passion.

Sam’s path, on the other hand, was rooted in fashion and design. With experience in tailoring, fashion consulting, and luxury lifestyle content, he’s built a reputation for merging timeless style with modern sensibility. His work champions craftsmanship, storytelling, and the kind of understated refinement that stands the test of time.

Together, we created Project.1 as an exploration of design, heritage, and individuality—a space where automotive inspiration meets artisanal craftsmanship. Every piece we make reflects the balance between form and function, passion and precision.
